From a really cool vintage with major rain issues during veraison and beyond, comes a stunner from Leeuwin. This vintage has people believing no good reds came out of 2006 in Margaret River. Not so. I agree that many should not have produced and certainly not top shelf, but Leeuwin hung on, literally, picked in May and turned a stunner out. It's very elegant, textured and with such a long maturation on the vine, the flavour profile is stunning.

Don't follow the crowd and ignore 06 reds from Margaret River, this is a cracker. Enjoy!
